Description

The Ambon Chromis is a relative newcomer to the aquarium industry. Hailing from Fiji, it is a welcome addition to the non-piranha-like damsel category. The most striking aspect of this fish is its beautiful, and very long, lyre tail streamers. The older they get, the longer they get. The fish has a much more stocky appearance than other chromis species. Under reef tank lighting, the iridescent scales of the fish shimmer and give this chromis a multicolor appearance.
